| The carbines were made on the same order as the Richmond muskets. Many of these were also made from damaged barrels. The carbine has a 25" barrel, iron butt plate, brass nose cap and has no swivels on the trigger guard or barrel band. These carbines had a very wide blade front sight. A swivel was added under the butt stock to connect with a carbine sling (swivel is missing on this specimen). |
