US  Silver Grip Swords
Top

A very fancy high grade cavalry officer’s saber with silver grip. The pommel is high relief with raised bust of Liberty. It has a three branch decorated guard. The base of the guard is additionally decorated with an applied cast copper design. The blade is engraved with delicate designs and a large US cavalry. The scabbard is iron with brass portrait mounts.

Middle

A beautiful high grade New Jersey cavalry officer’s sword with silver grip. It has a high relief cast pommel with a decorated and engraved three-branch guard. It has a finely engraved blade with floral design and US. . The reverse side has an eagle with e pluribus unum, a stand of US flags and the motto "Liberty, Virtue and Independ. (sic) It has a silver plated iron scabbard with tri-colored mounts and a Bailey, Banks and Biddle presentation plaque . The sword retains its original sword knot.

Bottom

A high grade Pennsylvania officer’s sword with silver grip. It has a high relief cast pommel and decorated three-branch guard with separately applied grapes and vines. It has a beautifully engraved blade with crossed US flags, a Liberty cap, an eagle with e pluribus unum surrounded by thirteen stars. The reverse side is engraved with a large US and the Motto "union " located within a panel. It has a heavily engraved German silver scabbard with a cavalry trooper holding a guideon containing the letters USC. It has a Bailey, Banks and Biddle presentation plaque "presented by the line officers-21st Penna Cav. to O.B. Knowles Major Commanding".
