Condition:
A super fine General Officer sword once belonging to General H. Constantine Wayne. Fully covered in silver with an engraved scabbard and the special etching including the State Seal of Georgia etched on the blade along with a dragoon officer bust and a standing view of Tecumseh with bow and spear. The Ames address reads: N.P.Ames / Cutler / Springfield. The provenience is directly from the purchase through the family of General Wayne. This sword is fully pictured and described in J. Thillmann's CIVIL WAR ARMY SWORDS pg 71& 72.
