Very scarce Model 1833 Dragoon Officer saber with factory browned iron scabbard. J.M. inspected.

Condition:
Gilt brass hilt with a sharkskin grip, wrapped with dragoon wire and two strands of untwisted wire. Original white buff dragoon belt saber hangers still attached and quite scarce in their own right. Steel officer scabbard -Factory browned with thin ring mounts, - .The drag is Inspected - J.M. Justin Murphy. Acid etched blade with United States Dragoons inside a wreath, N.P. Ames / Cutler / Springfield, Tecumseh, the Federal Eagle and foliate. There is an uncapped and recessed capstan nut of the spanner type as found on most Dragoons.
