Model 1832 which is dated 1841. The blade is marked with the Federal Eagle / N.P. Ames / Springfield and the other side : United / States / 1841 / W.S. (inspector) The guard is marked on the bottom - M.P.L. / Ord and W.S. (inspector) The black leather scabbard is back side stitched with sheet brass throat and drag. The throat has a cast brass frog stud and the drag has a cast brass oval tip.
